The Visitors from Down Under

On Tuesday, about 20 teachers from Australia visited Cyberschool. All the students were thrilled with their visit, as it meant a bonus cyberday, as we are not scheduled to start Tuesday cyberdays until November. The Australian teachers were really impressed with the wide range of tasks our cyberstudents do and the level of independence they display as part of the program
The students showcased a variety of online tools we use regularly, including Glogster, Voicethread, GDocs, Moodle, and Elluminate. The Elluminate session of the day was fun and informative, and the day's game of "Would You Rather" contained 75% Australian content, which our guests in the room seemed to greatly enjoy. We loved having our visitors form Down Under come to Cyberschool and were honoured they choose to spend some of their time in Canada with us.
